Uganda to Host Urbanisation Forum 2026 with President Museveni as Chief Guest.

Uganda is set to host the Urbanisation Forum 2026, a high-level national platform aimed at accelerating investment in affordable housing, sustainable urban development, smart cities and green infrastructure.

The forum, expected to bring together government leaders, investors, developers, financiers, academics and development partners, will be officiated by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as Chief Guest.

The forum will focus on shaping practical solutions to Uganda’s rapid urbanisation, strengthening public-private partnerships, promoting innovation in the built environment and unlocking investment opportunities that support inclusive economic growth.

Dr. Edwin Musiime, Chairman of EHS Group and Convener of the Urbanisation Forum, said the event represents a defining moment for Uganda’s future.

“Urbanisation is about building prosperous economies, creating sustainable communities and improving the quality of life for millions of Ugandans.

This forum will bring together the ideas, partnerships and investments needed to shape the next generation of resilient, smart and globally competitive cities,” Dr. Musiime said.

The Urbanisation Forum 2026 is expected to position Uganda as a regional leader in sustainable urban development while advancing the country’s long-term housing, infrastructure and industrialisation agenda.
